Cues & Departments

Video Department

Within the video department, you can create as many of the following subdepartments as you like for each of your productions:

You can create any of these by editing your production's subdepartments.

Video Text

This is a catch-all type that can be used for any video cues that you like. It offers one text field named Note where you can write any text notes.

For example, you could create several of these Video Text subdepartments to track things like downstage monitor updates, switcher/routing changes, camera cues, and others.

For example, if you created one subdepartment named Cameras and another named Confidence Monitor, then anyone editing cues in your script would be able to add cues for those subdepartments in the cue editor.

Those cues would then appear in the script and run of show views:

Graphic

This subdepartment type allows you to cue graphics from your production's database of graphics. This is helpful to allow you to insert graphic throughout the production that your clients can review and approve.

By cuing scenes this way, you can also allow your team to view all graphics from the graphics table page under the Graphics tab in your production.

Fields available:

  • Graphic: This is a choice of graphics that have been created in your production.
  • Note: This is a text field allowing you to add additional notes for your operator. For example, "lower third builds out automatically".
